A gift basket is a creative, fun and exciting unique gift, that just about anybody would love to receive. Not only are gift baskets fun to make yourself, but you have an opportunity to show someone how much you care about them and really took the time to show it. Each basket can be personalized through thoughtful little surprises that are packed into a beautiful basket.
When going through the steps of making a gift basket, the first and most important step is to take time to think about what that person, who you are giving the basket to, may like. For example, if the person loves to be pampered with spa treatments and you know they do not get the time to do it, a great idea would be a Spa themed basket.
There are so many things you can buy for a spa themed basket. A few good ideas would be a cozy fluffy spa robe, a variety of bath oils, some good facial creams, a face mask and definitely some flowery candles. You may also want to add in a gift certificate to a really good day spa, if you are looking to spend a bit more money. Of course sky’s the limit on what you can add, but just keep in mind, sometimes too much stuff can make the basket look too awkward and crowded.
The next step is selecting a nice big basket that would be able to fit all of the stuff you want to put in it neatly. When filling the basket, think of it as an empty canvas and you are the artist getting ready to create your masterpiece. Select a pretty colored tissue paper or shredded paper to line the basket with to make a more uniformed look.
For the spa themed basket, you should fold the robe in a tube like manner and place it towards the back as the main focus of the basket. Always put the bigger items in the back and work your way forward with smaller items, so that everything can be seen clearly. Once you have filled your basket, take a step back and tweak it until you are completely satisfied. Lastly, wrap it in a clear cellophane paper, add a big pretty bow, and you are done.
Not only will the person be thrilled to receive the basket, but they will also appreciate that you took the time to create a personalized gift for them.
