Cats are very intelligent animals. This is one reason why they are very popular as household pets. This might not be very apparent at first but these felines are able to form attachments with their owners and have the ability to effectively communicate their needs and wants.
Cat Personality
One big perception about these creatures is that they are cunning and aloof. Although this is correct to some degree, cats can be so much more than these. Interestingly, they can have their own personalities and will therefore have their own needs and demands that they will not hesitate to try to communicate with you what they are.
For you to be able to truly understand your cat and know how to properly interact with it, you will have to exert effort and invest time actually paying attention to the actions and habits of you cats. From here, you can work on how you will approach your cat in a way that the animal will positively respond. Once a cat is able to sense your sincerity; it is only then when they will start forming attachments and then reciprocate that love that they are being showered with.
Cat Loyalty
Cats can be very loyal creatures. A reason why this is not fully realizes by many people is that these creatures are overshadowed by dogs. Known as man’s best friend, the dog has long been viewed as the epitome of animal loyalty. Although this is true, a cat can also show devotion and love to people.
What makes cat different from dogs in this aspect is that no matter how a dog is treated, for as long as it is sheltered and given food, it will still show some amount of loyalty to the person that is doing this to them. With cats, it is a whole different story. How a cat will treat a person will depend on how the person treats the cat. The thing with cats is that they do not have innate impulses that will push them to form relationships. If they are fed, sheltered, and treated well, they will respond. Otherwise, they will just avoid contact.
The thing with these felines is that you will have to initially exert the effort to gain their attention. An effective way to do so would be to come up with running routines. Constantly show interest and attention to them. Overtime, the cat will hang around, seek the attention that you give it, and then prefer spending time with you.
After some time, the cat will follow you from one room to another and ask for the attention and affection that you have been giving it. For as long as you are able to keep up with the routine, cats will be encouraged to stay near. In the end, they will look forward for the time that you will be spending with them and even miss you when you are away.
