Extreme Home Cleaning – Domestic Detox

We all go to great lengths when it comes to home cleaning, but sometimes it’s not enough; sometimes we need to turn to extreme measures to ensure our homes are safe and clean for habitation. It’s an increased risk when we have kids and pets considering the delicacy of their perhaps less effective immune systems. While home cleaning companies exist that can get really serious on your behalf, perhaps you don’t have the exuberant fees a lot of these services charge; let’s face it, home cleaning services aren’t cheap. When it comes to taking the issue in our own hands, what can we do to ensure that our homes are spotless, incredibly clean locations safe for our loved ones to be reckless in?

Chemical Warfare at Home

The war at home, funny enough, began in WWII. When the inventors of chemical weapons were out of a job as peace was declared, they began bottling their chemical concoctions ad domestic home cleaning products. This is where the most harmful of toxics were introduced into cleaning products. Over the years more and products have come out that advertise the exclusion of these harmful toxins, although the question remains; “How did this harmful toxins get in there in the first place?” Still today we fret and worry about child-proof caps and putting things out of reach; an extreme measure begets an extreme measure, home cleaning can make do with the complete exclusion of harmful toxins. Briefly let’s discuss ways you can eliminate harmful toxins from your cleaning stockpile.

A Personal and Domestic Detox

While I am talking about home cleaning, it’s also possible to go through a personal detox to reflect your domestic detox. Buying sustainable furniture is a good first step considering they’re not only good for the earth, but they’re also really easy to clean. Consider also installing a filtration system for your house taps; this water is not only clean, but home cleaning will become healthier with cleaner water doing the dirty work. Avoiding heavily toxic cleaning products is difficult since they don’t always disclose what exactly goes into them. However there are a few outlets and initiatives that are going to make the future of residential home cleaning less toxic and more effective. The “Show the World What’s Inside” campaign advocates labels that plainly and truthfully list the contents of home cleaning products. Home cleaning in London is hard enough with the exterior pollution; it’s a surprise to think we’re polluting our home with toxins as we attempt to clean it. The future of home cleaning includes greener, healthier, toxic free contents all making the task of domestic detox less of a battle.

Eugene Calvini is a writer not afraid to get his hands dirty in the house cleaning; sourcing all kinds of vacuum cleaners UK and the world over while preferring the compact vacuum personally, he wages war on a dirty home.
